When it comes to location, the highest average paycheck ($130K per year) can be spotted in Dallas, Texas; Plano, Texas ($125K), Portland, Ore. (approximately $83K), and Cleveland, Ohio (around $78K) are the next top-paying cities. Santa Clara, Calif. ranks low on the pay scale — at about $60K, it is one of the lowest-paid cities. Pay rates in the United States are highest in the state of Texas, where they average to $127K annually.
Years of Experience
For those with one to four years of experience, median paychecks reach $61K per year. Survey participants who have worked at Tektronix Inc for between five and 10 years earn about $77K annually on average. When we consider tenure, a substantial portion of employees (33 percent) have been working for 10-19 years and make $82K per year on average.
