Job Description for Health Policy Analyst

A health policy analyst helps develop and analyze strategies related to health policy for their institution. They typically work for (and with) government institutions, nonprofit organizations, political action committees and community groups. The healthy policy analyst uses research and data to show the effects of existing policies across various demographic groups and assesses the likely effects of prospective legislative policy. The analyst typically gathers (or supervises the gathering of) data and - using advanced statistical analysis and modeling - assesses the potential short- and long-term effects of health policy on communities across demographics.
