Job Description for Material Controller
Material controllers ensure the correct materials and services are available for the company's day-to-day operations. Daily duties include ensuring that necessary equipment and materials are received, stored, and maintained properly. From there, they are distributed as needed to various departments within the company for short-term and long-term usage. During this process, regular communication with all involved parties (including clients and vendors) is necessary to maintain relationships and cooperation. All activities performed by material controllers should be recorded using computerized systems and specialized software. They must also ensure company regulations and policies are followed at all times.
