Job Description
People with the job title Radiologic Technologist / Technician typically fall into one of the following PayScale standard occupations.
Operate radiograph equipment to produce x-rays of the body for diagnostic purposes under direction of a physician. Explain procedure to patient, position and immobilize patient on exam table and observe during scan. Monitor video display of area being scanned and adjust density or contrast to improve picture quality. Review and evaluate film to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff.

Radiologic Technologist / Technician - (City withheld for privacy), Georgia, United States
I was fired for a violation of an hipa reg. Not true. I was giving patient info. to MD that related to the patients medical care and patient heard. The real reason for my termination was one of the MD's was ordering me to administer morphine/phenergan to her IV for migraines and she knew that I was aware this was un-ethical and illegal.
