Dance teachers are responsible for teaching the art of dance to students. Their tasks include carefully observing students, planning routines and activities, providing instruction, and offering advice as needed. Dance teachers must be in excellent physical shape, have a passion for dancing, have excellent flexibility, and be able to teach people in the age category in which they provide instruction. Dance teachers may work indoors and/or outdoors depending on their company, and they may work in a variety of categories of dance.
