Graphic Designer in Brisbane:
"Work flexibility."
Pros: Creative expression, solving problems, art direction.
Cons: Faced paced industry in terms of technical expertise.

Graphic Designer in Perth:
"Industry Experience."
Getting a degree looks great on paper but if you don't have hands on experience getting work when you leave university is very hard and you have to start from bottom and work your way up!

Graphic Designer in Gold Coast:
"It's a creative role that can be rewarding if right company."
Pros: Creative, Learning new things all the time. Problem solving design dilemmas. Seeing what u can create from scratch or minimal direction. Working in a creative environment with like minded people.
Cons: The LOW pay. Having to contact already disgruntled client because of poor sales advice. Chasing client who are unresponsive. High pressure for reaching performance targets when it is luck of the draw with clients response. High pressure with print deadlines. Assumptions from everyone who isn't a designer assuming that what we do is easy and can be done as quick as writing an email! My particular workplace seems to be ok with sales reps being underhanded with clients duping them into a no cancel contract - we then have to deal with angry and uncooperative clients. They are also all about numbers and not quality of work often allowing sub standard work to go through while I spend extra time making it good.

Graphic Designer in Brisbane:
"Graphic Design Advice."
If you love designing and you love your job stress is secondary to the pleasure of creating your designs and the satisfaction of it being out in the market.

Graphic Designer in Perth:
Pros: The environment and chance to create some very cool designs in all areas (web, print, branding etc). People I work with.
Cons: Flaky work methods. Micro managing superviser. Doing a job in which I'm not particualarly suited for.

Graphic Designer in Brisbane:
"Be creative."
Work Hard and listen to client requirements.

Graphic Designer in Melbourne:
"What To Know When Starting Out."
Work hard, develop a good folio in school, promote yourself and have confidence in your talents and abilities, take chances, experiment and challenge yourself creatively outside of work.
