The proposal coordinator's primary responsibility is to coordinate all of the necessary steps to deliver proposals to clients. The job comes with strict deadlines, as well as strict requirements to meet clients' quality standards and detailed requirements. Specific tasks performed by proposal coordinators include working on bids and conducting background research required for proposals, supporting various departments by performing related activities, and performing large amounts of writing and editing. Proposal coordinators exist in a a wide variety of industries and companies. Most of their work is done in an indoor office environment, but travel to remote locations and/or teleconferencing may be necessary depending on assigned clients and company structure.
