Job Description for Alarm Technician

Alarm technicians are responsible for the installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance of alarms and alarm accessories. An alarm technician is also in charge of alarm maintenance, including inspections and warranty requests. They must be able to analyze blueprints and drawings of fire alarms - as well as related wiring and electrical systems - to determine the most efficient way to install and upgrade the equipment. The alarm technician is also responsible for inspecting and diagnosing the cause of any issues or failures within the alarm system, as well as coordinating the repair or replacement of those systems with their manager.
