Cons: -Rate of pay does not equate to the physical and mental demands of the job. Risk of physical injury is always high and work can be very stressful at times. -The industry technology is constantly changing and can be difficult to learn and constantly keep up with learning the complex systems. Must be able to learn new systems and adapt to new technology. -Cost of private tools is extremely expensive and makes it very difficult to start in this industry. -Not a High paying career if thats your concern! Being a mechanic makes for a comfortable lifestyle. -Shift work. Majority of shops operate on shift work and demand you to work nights. Some people enjoy night however some enjoy days.
