Bookkeeper Reviews

Q: What is it like working in Victoria?

Bookkeeper in Victoria:
"A good job is hard to come by in Victoria."
Pros: It is a beautiful place to live and there are good companies to work for if you can find them.
Cons: Housing/rental prices are high right in the city so many people live in Langford or Sooke and work in Victoria. The commute can be brutal; about an hour each way and very slow traffic. Good jobs can be hard to come by. Take what you can get and continue trying to find the job you want. I started at a job that was well below my education and experience with a wage of only $14/hour. After a year of searching I found a fantastic employer only 20 minutes from home and am making $23/hour.
