Family Support Worker Reviews

Q: What is it like working as a Family Support Worker?

Family Support Worker:
The job would be great if we were paid a fair wage and had more support from our management instead of being left to deal with office duties while in the field working. Benefits are okay but way over priced for what they are. The company doesn’t contribute what so ever, all in all it’s an okay place, most people don’t stay long.

Family Support Worker in New Glasgow:
"Education."
Keep learning something new everyday...remember to do with not for the person and always put the person first not the disability...

Family Support Worker in St. Catharines:
"People Contact."
Pros: I enjoy working with people, one-on-one basis evaluating how I can practically help marginalized people.
Cons: I feel as though my current skill set is taken advantage of. Often I am given tasks beyond my job description for my current rate of pay.
