The services regional manager also reviews market reports and ultimately decides how marketing resources should be allocated. The regional manager for a services company is ultimately responsible for the success of operations within their region. They often set metrics such as how many clients should be served in a day, how long offered services should take, and what techniques are to be employed by staff. The regional manager often reviews operations reports to ensure that all benchmarks are met. If an area within the region is failing to meet established benchmarks, the regional manager may travel to the area and work to find a solution; for example, the regional manager may oversee additional training or changes in personnel.
The services regional manager also performs several human resources tasks, such as setting hiring standards. The regional manager may also approve any tests used to evaluate prospective employees and the process used to train new hires.
