Senior manager auditors are responsible for managing auditing tasks for their company. They are in charge of leading a group of auditors to assess financial activity and operational efficiency. They perform regular audits of company departments and recommend specific scopes for auditing activities, as well as assign tasks to auditing team members. One of the senior managing auditor's main functions is creating documentation based on collected audit data. They use this data to identify evidence of deficiency in controls, fraud, duplicate expenses, and other fields. Senior managing auditors also analyze periodic company reports, communication discrepancies to upper management, and follow up with documentation as needed. They administer functional audit programs, represent their department in meetings, assist in the development of programs to improve audit processes, and interact with external clients and partners as required. In all tasks, these auditors must follow reporting procedures and comply with company regulations, as well as relevant laws. Senior manager auditors usually report their progress to the auditor director in their organization.
A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required for this position.
