The printer takes clients' project ideas and turn them into a printed product. This professional receives an assignment and then use any applicable printing equipment to complete it. The range of jobs that the printer completes is diverse; for example, a printer may work at a retail outlet where they fill printing needs of customers,or in private business where they perform printing functions for their company and/or its clients. Understanding how to operate printing equipment is essential to properly completing assignments. The ability to delegate and prioritize assignments is also crucial to maximize efficiency. Hours for a printer vary, but they are generally normal business hours. However, some retail printing positions have extended hours into the evening to meet consumer demands. Printing work is generally performed indoors in an office settings; some retail environments are set up like storefronts with printers interacting with the customers.
