Starbucks Corporation Reviews

What is it like working at Starbucks Corporation?

Stressful, but fun if you're up for it.
Barista in Tucson:
Pros: I like the people I work with and serve.
Cons: I dislike the shift supervisors who can be a bit too controlling at times, even when I know what I'm doing
Close the Pary Gap Between Managers and Supervisors.
Customer Service Supervisor in Portland:
Pros: My co-workers are fabulous and diverse.
Cons: My job is extremely demanding and I don't get compensated accordingly.
Barista:
Pros: The people I work with and the ethical nature of starbucks.
Cons: The politics managing the store and district.
Great benefits, typical corporation.
Barista:
Pros: Fast paced, makes the day go by really quickly. The benefits are stellar. The hours are pretty flexible. You can transfer to any store if you have to move. It's nice to get free coffee all day, pound of coffee or tea a week, and free food item during lunch. Usually the people hired are outgoing and fun so coworkers are typically easy to get along with.
Cons: The stress. A lot of hypocrisy. They want fast times but great customer interactions. I wish I had a chance to actually make relationships with the customers but I have to hurry and keep my times to ten seconds per person. It's not about the quality, but the quantity. We have standards for things like coupons or whatever but we hardly stick to them. We're told to stick to it, but then a customer comes in and yells enough and we give them a bunch of free stuff. It's exhausting because people take advantage of that a lot and they just come in and yell and get free stuff because of it. There's a lot of talk within the company, a lot of times they think what they are doing is really great but it's not what the employees need. We don't need free spotify, we need more pay. There's other things but those are the most important ones.
Stressful.
Assistant Store Manager:
Pros: The employees that worked for me.
Cons: They ask to much or you with no time to do it and no resources to be able to complete your work. You always have to work off the clock in order to get anything done.
It was fun at first, then got more frustrating.
Barista:
Pros: I like a few of my coworkers.
Cons: Getting treated unfairly and being around people who aren't happy to be working. Not a fun work environment anymore.
Retail Shift Supervisor:
Pros: The pay and the benefits.
Cons: Constant chaotic environment.
