Discount Tire Co., Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at Discount Tire Co., Inc.?

Great place to learn and build integrity.
Retail Store Assistant Manager in Corona:
Pros: The People, The Atmosphere, and the Values
Cons: The Pay
Over performed. Underpaid.
Tire Technician in Seattle:
Pros: My Co-workers
Cons: Never knowing when I'm getting off. No set schedules. Company doesnt promote people off of work ethic, but would rather have some slacker who can talk people's ears off.
Discount can be very stressful on the body for the amount of pay.
Tire Technician in Plano:
Pros: The knowledge gained while working and training.
Cons: Discount has very many levels of employment and it is very hard to move up to be able to make decent amounts of money without being employed for many years.
Management affects.
Tire Technician in Phoenix:
Pros: Some good people and nice full timers.
Cons: Unfair, dont get a break even though it says I do in the schedule. People that work less hours get a break, and all day people get a lunch, and I work the whole time. My first manager was good, current one sucks. There is full timer that abuses his power. An example would be him telling part timers to stay off their phone while he disappears to text. I wont get into how he yelled at a new guy(not even two weeks in) to run and get him water.
Its very thrilling and rewarding and you will learn a lot with room for advancement.
Tire Technician in Green Bay:
Pros: The co-workers and working on cars.
Cons: The long hours
Poor management.
Tire Technician:
Pros: It was a good job with the right people. And paid well starting out.
Cons: Was assaulted in the work environment and was told that I needed to be more professional and was setting a bad image for the store.
It’s not bad it takes time to adjust to the role but once you get the hang of it. You will only get better.
Assistant Store Manager in Port Arthur:
Pros: Helping people who aren’t knowledgeable about their tires or wheels
Cons: The way some things are ran
