The Home Depot Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at The Home Depot Inc.?

Decent.
Rental Coordinator in Missouri City:
Pros: I like that I get to learn about equipment I am and it’s fun over all just the management part about my job is very Poor .
Cons: The management
Pay does not Equal Stress.
Drafter, Kitchen Design in Hillsboro:
Pros: I love the personal customer interactions, seeing the wants they have for their kitchen or bath space come to life. I enjoy the spacing challenges, and putting together a whole package of colors and textures to make their home unique.
Cons: No cradle-to-grave accountability when products are purchased. If something goes wrong, the first answer is almost always "it's the third party." Management waits for the fallout, then just gives back financial compensation instead of fixing the problem. It makes the sales team, myself included, look bad and have no backup.
Very Stressful, Multi-tasking, Good Basis For A Career.
Designer, Kitchen & Bath:
Pros: Kitchen designing, stock purchase plan, matching 401K contribution.
Cons: Micro-managing, noisy work environment, schedule to work late and weekends.
Creative Big Ticket Sales.
Designer, Kitchen:
Pros: Being creative. Helping people. Working close to home. No overtime.
Cons: Pay is just satisfactory. Company is out of touch with it's employees in the trenches.
No help from management.
Sales Associate:
Pros: It is part time.
Cons: You are on your own -- no practical training and no help from management.
A lot of responsibility.
Retail Department Supervisor:
Pros: Working with people.
Cons: Hard to get promoted.
Too Much To Handle For The Little Raise That I Was Given.
Sales Associate:
Pros: Helping out customers and fellow associates.
Cons: The headaches supervisor puts us through.
