Wal-Mart Stores, Inc Reviews
What is it like working at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc?
"It's a flexible position."
Retail Department Manager:
Pros: I like the hours and the fact I work days and really only one weekend day.
Cons: Nothing really.
"Good for short term work and new to job market."
Retail Associate in Woodstock:
Pros: When you work with others to accomplish tasks and everyone does their part.
Cons: When others waste time and be lazy because managers don't push them to be productive.
"I Love Being Able To Help People."
Retail Assistant Manager:
Pros: I love working with people. On a daily basis I am able to meet customers who have a need and I have the chance to help them fill that need, whether it is simply finding an item in the store or as complex as helping them through the return/ replacement procedures of a manufacturer's claim policy. The same goes for my associates. I get to be friend, mentor, confidant, parent and coach to a number of great people.
Cons: The hours are long. I typically work 60 hours a week and I feel that when I leave there is too much work undone. We struggle to hire enough associates at all levels including management.
Customer Service Supervisor:
Pros: I enjoy working with and helping people.
Cons: Management does not stick to policies and does not support their employees.
Retail Store Assistant Manager:
Pros: Enjoy challenges customer service.
Cons: Work to many hours.
"I like working at walmart."
Pros: Working at night. Stocking and a jack of all trades at Walmart working from department to another .
"Wireless Associate's View."
Retail Sales Associate:
Pros: Walmart is pretty flexible with you if you're a student and management likes you.
Cons: Other then that the job can be very stressful as the company is constantly looking to cut hours to maximize profits and that leads to us being short staffed 90% of the time.
