What is it like working as an Administrative Assistant?
December 2015
Being and Administrative Assistant is a trap.
Administrative Assistant:
Unless you plan on working in an administrative role for the balance of your career, being an administrative assistant is a trap. It is very difficult to move up the ladder or find other opportunities once you are branded an administrative assistant. Although administrative assistants possess a variety of skill sets, the very title alone handicaps you from being able to move forward with your career, even with a degree. Be prepare to be a hand holder, even planner, and a doer for all (who get paid way more than you do) with very little acknowledgement or financial compensation.
