An assistant office manager’s main responsibilities are to answer phone calls and screen them, transfer them, and/or respond to inquiries. They must also greet employees and visitors in person or via telephone, providing information, taking messages, or directing them to the appropriate person. Assistant office managers also maintain an inventory of office supplies to ensure necessary items are always available, as well as perform clerical functions,such as data entry, scheduling, and filing.
