Their duties include taking payments for accounts, posting payments, processing refunds or account adjustments, and make notes on accounts. Many times, a cash posting clerk is expected to handle other clerical work such as opening and processing mail, managing incoming and outgoing faxes, and taking phone calls related to accounts.
