On a daily basis, general responsibilities of education specialists include, but are not limited to: ensuring that programs are up to standards; observing programs to make necessary changes; training staff members and brainstorming methods to develop them into well-trained professionals; determining the effectiveness of curricula; and other changes/modifications to improve academic success.
Education specialists generally work regular school hours, but may be sent to different programs within or outside of the state, so significant traveling may be required. To be considered for the position, one must have a teaching certification, several years of experience in a classroom setting, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt to a steadily-changing educational system.
