Information Technology (IT) Architect Reviews

Q: What is it like working as an Information Technology (IT) Architect?

Information Technology (IT) Architect in Sioux Falls, South Dakota:
"Small city, but great commute and community."
Pros: I like the short commute and being close to family
Cons: Small town means a little less to do

Information Technology (IT) Architect in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma:
"Low cost of living and low culture oppurtunities."
Pros: Low cost of living. Anyone making six figures is relatively rich.
Cons: The place is a GOP Republican red-state wasteland. Teachers protest in the literal streets from poor pay, city streets are poor, and there are seriously streets with 4 churches all right next to each other. No one makes anything but piety and hubris. Oklahoma believes strongly in the prosperity gospel and fail to recognize the connection between optimal political choices in the ballot box and their direct way of life. If 75% of the city were wiped away in a tornado, the impact it would have on the real world and the Nation's GDP would be negligible. Entire sectors of the economy (biotech, for example) are nearly completely unrepresented.

Information Technology (IT) Architect in Kansas City:
"Its nice."
Pros: Its good; I need about 16 more cha.
Cons: Its bad; these are random words.

Information Technology (IT) Architect in St. Louis:
"Decent security, not much technical excellence."
Pros: Very good work-life balance and good benefits, pretty good job security. Sometimes elevated access to vendors. Generally flexible with telecommuting and work schedule.
Cons: Very slow technical evolution. Technical excellence is not highly respected, more a game of corporate politics.
