A landscape designer is responsible for creating feasible, aesthetically pleasing landscapes for clients. At the beginning of the landscape project cycle, the landscape designer works with a team to prepare a winning bid for a contract. They do this by gathering data about the project site and the materials which will be necessary to create a landscape in accordance with the requirements the client has set. Armed with this information, the landscape designer creates a visual representation of the final product; they often use AutoCAD and other software packages to create a digital model, although physical models built with craft materials may also be used.
