Leasing agents are responsible for assisting property managers in the leasing of apartments and other rental properties. They are in charge of marketing openings to potential clients on behalf of the property management, serving as the point of contact for clients searching for rentals, meeting with clients face to face, and providing site tours as requested. They also work with various marketing outlets such as newspapers and television stations to get advertisements out in a timely manner. Leasing agents also assist with rental paperwork and background checks.
