An order processor is responsible for taking a customer's order and inputting its details into their company's system or registry to prepare that order for dispatch. They may also be required to keep inventory of the stock on hand, as well as inspect the arrival of stock for defects (to know whether the order should be accepted or rejected). In some cases, inventory and ordering are manually inputted onto paper and orders are made over the telephone; in other cases, the entire process is steamlined online, meaning a familiarity in computer usage is required.
