Job Description for Parts Counterman
A parts counterman typically works in an automotive or hardware retail store. They are the "middle man" between the parts technicians and the customers. They assist customers over the phone, fulfilling requests and orders for parts; if the part is not in stock, they must advise the customer if there is another suitable replacement and alert the customer when the order comes in.
