The director should carry out continuous assessments to make sure that the organization is operating in the most efficient way possible. The director should also decide if changes in company policy need to be implemented in order to aid the efficiency of operations. Strong customer service skills are also important, as the director will often interact directly with customers.
The position may require the director to have experience as a physical therapist. This ensures that the director is able to provide advice and knowledge to staff members regarding physical therapy. The director may also continue to have physical therapy duties directly with customers.
