Project specialists work alongside staff members to oversee assigned projects by a company. They must be able to identify and rectify potential problems within specific projects, and some may also be responsible for training and developing employees to perform designated tasks.

Project specialists must be able to problem-solve and troubleshoot all project issues in a timely manner, and interpersonal skills are important in order to work alongside other project employees to meet all client specifications and requirements. They must be aware of all resources utilized within each project to ensure accurate results, and verbal and written communication skills are also important in this position. Aspiring project specialists should have the ability to travel, as some organizations require them to assist projects in other locations.
