Q: What is it like working as a Salon Manager?
Salon Manager in Sydney:
Pros: Different ethnic groups. Better money. Public transport is awesome.
Cons: People are lazy. Never trust anyone.
Salon Manager in Dallas:
Pros: Dallas is a very clean, beautiful city with great things to do outside of work. Lots of potential clients for salons and really any kind of service business. Lots of different options of jobs to choose from...
Cons: traffic traffic and more traffic.. Lack of parking at all businesses is always an issue. Also cost of living does always equal what you actually make at work which is a big problem in my opinion.
"A Lot Of Work."
When a situation gets tough, take deep breaths, don't freak out. It can be stressful because you are dealing with so many personalities but you just have to relax!
"Rewarding in its own way."
Pros: Being able to motivate the team to be as successful as possible in this industry.
Cons: The stress of making sure all personalities get along and can work together.
"Good people skills."
Must have good people skills. Be motivated.
"Responibilities of the whole salon."
Pros: Cutting hair, training other stylists.
Its not what you think it is. You don't get to groom as much as you think and there are so many rules but a lack of management support from above.
