Tire technicians work in garages and for mechanics, helping to inspect, repair, and replace tires. For some shops, tire technicians also must be willing and able to operate roadside service vehicles (typically a pickup truck not requiring a commercial driver's license) and assist stranded motorists in need of assistance.
