The transportation coordinator works to optimize the transportation and suppliers network for their organization. Their main objective is to ensure that all incoming and outgoing deliveries are made on time. Transportation coordinators must be careful to comply with all government rules and regulations regarding the transportation of goods and materials. They maintain delivery schedules and tracking deliveries, as well as provide tracking information to customers and internal departments as needed. Transportation coordinators also report on any issues or delays in product shipment.
