These Vice Presidents collaborate with faculty, fellow board members, and students to foster a positive student environment that incorporates a diverse, multicultural outlook catered to students from all walks of life, and builds on prior experience in order to strive for a better learning experience.
Work is primarily done indoors, but may also be outdoors as required based on travel, and shifts often begin in the morning and last eight to nine hours. As a member of a board, frequent meetings are also necessary, though they may be on evenings or weekends.
The Vice President is a civic position which works with the academic community as a whole, so excellent social and leadership skills are required, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. Computer experience is highly beneficial. This position generally requires a Master's degree in a relevant field, but a Doctorate is often preferred.
