Job Description for Senior Environmental Engineer

Senior environmental engineers lead a variety of environmental and/or engineering projects for their organization. They work with facilities to ensure that their environmental projects meet all requirements set by the government and their organization. These engineers must develop and communicate goal and expectations with their team, providing guidance, feedback, and discipline to subordinates as necessary. Additionally, they help guide their organization's interactions with state, local, and federal agencies. Senior environmental engineers are also responsible for making sure that projects under their supervision are finished within budget limitations and within deadlines. They provide presentations to management for ongoing projects as necessary.
