Graduates of Case Western head into a range of vocations when it comes to work; the medical device manufacturing industry, clinical care, and the health care services industry are just a few professional areas popular among alumni. The most popular field is the health care industry. Those with a degree from Case Western make an average of $72K.


Male graduates of Case Western out-earn their female counterparts significantly, earning an average of $79K versus about $63K for women.


Dentists win the contest for best-paid Case Western alumni, making around $180K on average every year, though Software Developers ($100K), and Senior Software Engineers (approximately $98K) are not far behind. Biomedical Engineers wrap up the bottom of the pay scale, earning $58K.

Other common destinations for Case Western grads include close-by Columbus, Ohio and New York, N.Y.

Degree Major

Among the highest-paid Case Western alumni are those with a medical degree — they earn close to $180K on average per year. On the other end of the spectrum, those with a B.A. in Computer Science (CS) tend to do the worst in terms of salary, making an average about $46K per year.


Competency in C++ translates into above-average pay for Case Western Reserve University grads — they earn 42 percent more than their fellow graduates. Case Western alumni are often well versed in Project Management, with close to a sixth of grads ending up in jobs that require this skillset. Engineering Design, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Excel are desirable skills as well.

Benefits and Perks

Roughly half of the respondents report receiving paid vacation days, but just one-third of alumni are paid for sick leave. A large number of survey participants take advantage of a 401(k) plan. For this school, most respondents are the recipients of health benefits, and a fair number of alumni pick up dental plans, too. Case Western Reserve University grads are also lucky enough to receive life insurance, a casual working environment, tuition reimbursement, and a company-subsidized cell phone.
