Former SJU students are professionally suited for a wide range of fields including the financial services industry, the insurance and financial services industry, and the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Among SJU grads, the health care industry is a commonly chosen career field. SJU graduates see an estimated starting salary of about $64K.
Information Technology Directors win the contest for best-paid SJU alumni, typically making $160K every year, though Finance Managers ($77K), and Senior Financial Analysts (approximately $62K) are not far behind. Marketing Coordinators get the short end of the stick when it comes to salary, where grads report making an average of around $33K in this job.
Upon earning their degree, many SJU grads prefer to remain in Philadelphia; in fact, more than a third of grads enjoy the area so much that they find permanent jobs in the city. SJU alumni seeking the highest salaries end up in Princeton, which offers median salaries of $76K. Exton is a popular spot for former SJU students at the opposite end of the pay scale; in fact, average salaries there are the lowest at $50K. New York is also a top pick, as is King of Prussia.
Among the highest-paid SJU alumni are those with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice — they earn close to $100K per year. Those with a Master of Science (MS), International Marketing face salaries on the lower end, coming in close to approximately $40K per year.
Project Management is a common skill among SJU alumni — nearly one-sixth of grads mention using it at work. Operations Management commands a pay premium of 40 percent for former Hawks. Competency in Microsoft Excel, Data Analysis, and Microsoft Office also warrants excellent retribution.
Just half of the alumni enjoy paid vacation and merely one in three grads get paid sick time. Health coverage is awarded to a solid majority of graduates, and dental insurance is issued to most former students as well. The greater part of former students report contributing to a 401(k). Alumni of Saint Joseph's University also take in life insurance, a company-subsidized cell phone, tuition reimbursement, and a casual working environment.
Alumni of La Salle University pick up average paychecks of $65K, which is closest to the amount made by SJU grads among similar schools. Philadelphia University, Villanova University, and Eastern University are also similar to SJU.
