Job Description for Customer Service Technician

Customer service technicians interact with customers on behalf of their organizations. For example, those who work for computer companies must be able to explain computer issues and problems to consumers and serve them via phone, in-person, by email, or online chat platforms. They may serve as liaisons between customers and the company's mechanics who perform the actual repairs, and strong verbal and written communication skills are important in this position. Customer Service Technician Advice

Q: What is it like working as a Customer Service Technician?

Customer Service Technician in London:
"The Pressure."
Be organized and focused.

Customer Service Technician in Saskatoon:
"Happy face."
In my time as a CST I've met many different people who come from different walk of life, backgrounds, heritages and beliefs. One thing that they have in common is that they respond best when the technician knows what he/she is talking about (or at least sound like it). Honesty is your friend, use it always. If you hum and haw and don't speak like you know what you are doing, customers will tear you to pieces, so know your job and what is expected of you, know your boundaries and don't be brow-beaten into doing something outside of the scope of your job. Know your limitations and defer to someone who can help rather than making promises you may not be able to keep.
