They must be able to navigate and use the web publishing tools used by the company, which can range from a blog to a Wikipedia page to a full website. Additionally, they must be able to create original content that meets company standards for quality, consistency, and formatting. The web content editor is often expected to maintain and present data to supervisors and staff related to the number of users, page views, and other metrics. Administration and maintenance of the company's social media presence may also be required of the web content editor, and familiarity with different social media platforms may be expected for this position.
