Job Description for Youth Worker

A youth worker serves as an advocate and role model at a youth center or program, providing guidance and support to teenagers and children. The main focus for a youth worker is to build therapeutic relationships with their mentees. Though this is a support position, a youth worker should have strong leadership capabilities to provide the youth with the direction they need. Sensitivity to cultural and individual differences are essential.
