Job Description for Pharmacy Dispenser

Pharmacy dispensers ensure medicines and patient data are correct before giving medications to the patient, administering both over-the-counter and prescription medicines as needed. They advise clients on their symptoms and discuss the products that may best help with their issue, as well as bring prescribed medicines to the appropriate containers and apply appropriate labeling. Pharmacy dispensers perform other pharmaceutical-related tasks under the direction of the pharmacist such as counting tablets, mixing medications with fluids, and preparing ointments.
