The Boeing Company Reviews

What is it like working at The Boeing Company?

October 2019
"A great place to work if you only want to work here."
Design Engineer in Seattle:
Pros: Flexibility
Cons: Experience is limited to Aerospace
November 2019
"Long time employee."
Computer Security Specialist in Pasadena:
Pros: Benefits
Cons: Occasional relocation during reorganizations and occasional layoff cycles
November 2019
Purchasing Manager in Phoenix:
Politics are us: listening to its employees is a forgotten character. That is why the company is in the shape it is in today! Even with proven statistics that savings and weight reduction can be acheived, none of my ideas were implemented. I wish I would have chosen a different carrier. Now, today, very prejudice toward white males. Heil Obama Bin Laden!
January 2020
Materials Engineer in Seattle:
Excellent benefits. Many opportunities for growth. Educational reimbursement. Well compensated. Interesting technology. Global opportunities. Only downside: management needs to get their heads out of their rear ends.
January 2020
Software Engineer in Seattle:
Work life balance is good, but the pay is severely below average for software developers. The company has multiple job classes for essentially the same statements of work. Others enjoy higher pay than industry which masks the dissatisfaction of their developers. If you are a developer, only join Boeing for a max of 2 years and get out.
February 2020
"You run around putting out fires and bandaging broken equipment."
Instrumentation Engineer in Patuxent River:
Pros: It’s always different.
Cons: No mentoring, no training, trial by fire from day one.
February 2020
"Great Place To Work."
Manufacturing Engineer in Salt Lake City:
Pros: The environment, Colleagues and Airplanes.
Cons: Non-competitive teleworking, 40 hour work week rather than 4/10 or 9/5/8. Very few holiday paid days, No national Holiday paid days.
