Spring Valley is a village in Greene County, Ohio, United States. The population was 476 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area. Spring Valley had its start in the early 1840s by the building of the Little Miami Railroad through that territory. The town was platted in 1844. Spring Valley is located at 39°36′31″N 84°0′26″W (39.608533, -84.007257). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.27 square miles (0.70 km2), all of it land. 2010 census As of the census of 2010, there were 479 people, 198 households, and 136 families residing in the village.
