Assistant to the President Reviews

Q: What is it like working as an Assistant to the President?

Assistant to the President in Canton:
"Office Conditions."
Pros: What I like the most about my job is seeing/hearing the appreciation/thanks for all of my & the rest of the Union Hall's efforts from both active members & retirees, and slowing seeing parts of it come back to together and/or grow even more, it's absolutely beautiful & the way that it should be :)
Cons: However, it is also by far the most stressful position that I have ever had including when I was an internal corporate auditor or retail manager. While I have a lot of experience in numerous different settings/fields, unfortunately I didn't have the means to obtain a college degree (until now, which I am currently enrolled and working to obtain my associates in business management & microeconomics, thanks to my international union providing me with the opportunity) therefore, I continued working my way up at each job that I had.

Assistant to the President in Akron:
"What I wish I had known about my position."
Pay attention to details. Learn your boss' moods, what they say may not be what they mean. Be creative and not afraid to present new ideas. This position can be stressful - if that happens, get up and walk around the building or get a cup of tea (to relax). Learn how to promote your company. Then work with your boss on ideas for you to promote the company outside of the building. You will get opportunities to network (perk - for the company and for you).

Assistant to the President in New Haven:
"Better job description."
Ask more specifically about your duties.

Assistant to the President in New York:
"Salary Increase."
I love my job but wish I knew the salary would not increase in 7 years. Always be sure to get a review.
