Job Description for Education Program Coordinator
Education program coordinators are responsible for implementing educational development programs for grade-school students and developing and implementing curriculum objectives which are aligned with state standards. They also have a wide range of other tasks, including: instruction, planning, and implementation of specialized programs; reviewing and evaluating materials; reviewing and researching publications and materials for dissemination; conducting staff meetings; and attending state, local, and federal meetings, administrative conferences, monthly departmental meetings, and other committee meetings.Read More...
Education program coordinators must have at least a bachelor's degree in education and a postgraduate professional license with endorsements in K-12. They should also have a minimum of five years of experience as a classroom teacher and some experience in an administrative or supervisory position.
Those in this position must be professional and well-spoken with proven leadership and management skills and in-depth knowledge of learning theory, curriculum development, and implementation procedures. They must also be able to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with students, teachers, parents, and administrators.
