Job Description for Inventory Supervisor

An inventory supervisor focuses mainly on inventory accuracy. This means when all is said and done, the inventory supervisor is the person to check with if there is some kind of inventory question or concern. Some of the main tasks that an inventory supervisor is in charge of are establishing check-in procedures, creating a stock-picking procedure, creating a shipping procedure, and maintaining minimum inventory. A check-in procedure for an inventory supervisor should include a system in which goods are received and accounted for in an efficient manner. A stock picking procedure should include a process of how employees should take stock from a warehouse or wherever stock is kept, how to report what is being taken, how much is being taken, and where it is going to.
