Job Description for Journeyman Carpenter

A journeyman carpenter perform various woodworking tasks as assigned. Often, this requires working on construction projects, including installing foundations and various structural aspects of buildings. Fitting wooden aspects of structures and shaping and carving wood to given specifications is essential, so attention to detail is important for this position. The journeyman carpenter might also be in charge of erecting scaffolding for planned construction work to ensure the safety of other employees. Other tasks performed by the journeyman carpenter include performing finishing work and following safety standards at all times.
