Washington, D.C., formally the District of Columbia and commonly referred to as "Washington", "the District", or simply "D.C.", is the capital of the United States. The signing of the Residence Act on July 16, 1790, approved the creation of a capital district located along the Potomac River on the country's East Coast. Legal Secretary Reviews

Q: What is it like working in Washington?

Legal Secretary in Washington:
"Great City, Long Commute."
Pros: Working in a city offers excitement, opportunity to take a nice mid-day break by walking around, plenty of sights to see and places (museums) to visit, many food options, wonderful place to meet friends during lunch and after work.
Cons: The commute is too long due to the horrendous traffic on the major & minor highways in the area, abysmal public transportation called the Marc train, constant delays on the subway (Metro) system. If the Marc train system could be refurbished so the delays and cancellations were not so prevalent, the commute would be decent.
