They oversee their staff in collecting payments for deductibles, office co-pays, and co-insurance. They may also schedule financial counseling with patients who are looking at large medical bills. Medical billing managers run reports monthly to ensure that the accounts are balanced. They also ensure that the appropriate billing codes are being used for patients and their doctor’s visits.
Medical billing managers may have weekly or monthly meetings to keep up to date with the newest information and contracts.
