Job Description for Ministry Director

The ministry director has a number of different responsibilities within a church. Generally, they are in charge of administrating and overseeing the church's children and youth programs. Duties performed by the ministry director might include managing the weekly curriculum, procedures, and plans for the nursery; hiring and training weekday and Sunday childcare coordinators; supervising volunteers and staff members; and performing administrative tasks for the children's ministry. The ministry director is often responsible for recruiting a team of volunteers and staff members who offer support to parents raising children and help them convey the church's message to the children.
