Logistics operations coordinators are responsible for establishing and maintaining an efficient transportation and shipping network. The two primary areas under their control are warehousing and transportation. They work with warehouse supervisors to ensure that materials are stored in an efficient manner and can be retrieved quickly when needed. Logistics operations coordinators manage relationships with outside delivery services to ensure timely shipment and delivery of goods. If an organization work internationally, they may be responsible for coordinating with customs, obtaining permits, working with regulatory agencies, maintaining relationships with customs agents, and ensuring packages and shipments comply with import/export laws.
